Founded, built and opened during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, the DMC has quickly established itself as a world-leading, multi-technology additive manufacturing facility. These efforts were recognised by the judges, who praised the team’s ambition and early success.
In a little over a year, the DMC has brought the future of connected digital manufacturing to the UK supply chain. It offers expertly engineered solutions and part production to advanced industries from aerospace, space, and defence, through to automotive, motorsport, medtech and energy.
Kieron Salter, CEO of the DMC, commented: “From establishing the DMC in the middle of a global pandemic, to seeing out our first year with commercial success and industry recognition, it has been a wild ride! Winning the Innovative Business Award as part of the Buckinghamshire Business Awards is a fantastic recognition of our efforts.
“The DMC is now widely seen as one of the world’s leading multi-technology commercial additive manufacturing facilities and we are extremely proud of what we have achieved so far. Congratulations to all the other winners and those shortlisted – it was a competitive field that highlighted the wealth of business expertise within the region."
